Jaen is a city and region located high in the jungle of far northern Peru. El Diamante is a sub-region of Jaen, but uniquely located close to the city, making it ideal for the coffee trade. El Diamante also has an ideal climate for growing from 1700 to 1900 m above sea level, has many sources of fresh water and protected forests that maintain a thriving natural environment.

We have been looking for decaffeinated coffee for a long time. For decaffeinated coffee which would meet all the parameters of specialty coffee. The priority for us was the natural process of caffeine removal in combination with an excellent taste profile.
In the end, after a search among coffees from South America and Africa, we succeeded. We would like to introduce you to decaffeinated coffee from producers from the small Colombian town of Argelia.

We always try to find coffees with a solid and exciting taste profile for our offer of beans. Although Brazil generally pays for a country where coffee tastes like coffee, we have managed to buy part of the harvest from the Rancho Grande farm from their Manga Larga project.
You can look forward to an extraordinary taste that you rarely meet in Brazilian coffee. Distinctive tones of black currant, raspberry, dark chocolate, cocoa, cane sugar, and chamomile, along with a subtle acidity of a red apple.

The El Floripondo farm is one of the more recently planted farms in the Samaipata area in Santa Cruz. The Rodriguez family has been experimenting with cultivating specialty grade coffee in a region not known for coffee production historically.
Due to its high altitude, tropical microclimate, and unique soil type, Floripondio is the ideal location for experimenting with different varieties. Over 50 varieties have been planted on the farm to discover which is best suited to this particular terroir.
The farm gets its unusual name from the Floripondio trees native to the area. Roughly meaning ‘angel’s trumpets,’ the trees are believed to possess some hallucinogenic properties. Legend believes that sleeping beneath these trees induces heavy and vivid dream states.
Fittingly, the farm itself is so beautiful that those who have visited described its beauty as being as if from a dream.
